Honduras SHG

This Honduran coffee, known for its delightful aromas, offers a sweet blend of black cherry, caramel, and velvety chocolate notes in every cup. In darker roasts you may get a hint of leather on the nose followed by barely-ripe peach on the palate. 

This offering is strictly high grown (SHG). Coffees receiving the SHG designation must be grown at an altitude of 1,200 meters or higher. What does that mean for your daily cup of coffee, though? The higher the altitude and the lower the temperatures allow the fruit (yes, coffee comes from a fruit) to mature more slowly, creating a dense coffee "bean" that oftentimes provides more rich, desirable flavors.
